Chikoo (Sapota)

Chikoo, also known as sapodilla, is a sweet, tropical fruit with a malty flavor that can be eaten fresh or used in recipes. It has a grainy texture when ripe and is a good source of dietary fiber, vitamins A and C, and minerals like potassium. When unripe, it is hard and has a bitter taste, but it softens as it ripens to a sweetness comparable to brown sugar or pear.
